Testing plays an important role in the international transaction of goods and services and is a critical link between standardization and quality control. The Bhutan Standards Bureau has established the Product Testing Laboratory for construction materials mainly for:

• Providing testing facilities to product and management system certification and
• Conducting research and development for standards formulation.
